Built on Respect has worked for awareness of Tibet’s political prisoners since its inception.

Current campaigns are calling for the release of both Tashi Dhondup, a young singer jailed for singing about the torture and disappearance of his country-mates, and Dhondup Wangchen, a film maker who was put in a forced labor camp for making a film asking Tibetans about their opinions on life in Tibet.
