Jamtse in Action: Supporting the Elders

Built on Respect also works to support local community groups. Jamtse in Action was started by a young Tibetan woman to help care for the elders in the community.

Built on Respect funded two trips for the elders of Jampa Ling elders home, 140 people total, had a private audience with HH the Karmapa.

In addition, together we have coordinated tea parties, visits, and musical performances for the elders. Built On Respect’s SamaSource work group also volunteers and helps the elders with things like laundry.
